Odisha CM Mohan Majhi’s Elder Brother Dinabandhu Majhi Passes Away

Bhubaneswar: Dinabandhu Majhi, the elder brother of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, passed away on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was 65.

According to reports, Dinabandhu Majhi had been admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated. Despite medical efforts, he breathed his last during treatment, bringing grief to the Chief Minister’s family and relatives.

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi rushed to the hospital after receiving information about his brother’s demise. Family members, relatives and close associates gathered to pay their respects and offer support to the bereaved family during the difficult time.

The news of Dinabandhu Majhi’s passing prompted condolences from political leaders and well-wishers across Odisha. Several leaders expressed sympathy with the Chief Minister and his family, praying for strength and courage to cope with the loss.

Dinabandhu Majhi largely remained away from public life and political activities, even as his younger brother rose through the ranks of state politics to become Chief Minister. Those who knew him remembered him as a simple and respected member of the family.
