Ghaziabad: The administration in Ghaziabad has carried out another major bulldozer action, demolishing an alleged illegal madrasa built on government land. The action comes amid an ongoing crackdown against unauthorized constructions in the district.
According to officials, the madrasa was constructed on nearly 15 acres of government land. During the verification process, those associated with the structure were asked to produce ownership and construction-related documents. However, authorities claimed that the required documents were not submitted despite notices being issued.
After the stipulated period passed without compliance, the district administration launched a demolition drive and used bulldozers to remove the structure. Officials maintained that the action was taken in accordance with legal procedures and was aimed at reclaiming government land from alleged encroachment.
The latest demolition follows recent enforcement actions in the Khoda area of Ghaziabad and is being seen as part of a broader campaign against illegal constructions. Authorities have reiterated that action is being taken against unauthorized structures irrespective of their nature or purpose.
Officials stressed that the drive is not limited to any particular community or institution. According to the administration, action can be taken against any structure—including religious, educational or commercial establishments—if it is found to have been built without valid permissions or on government land.
The bulldozer action has once again drawn attention to Uttar Pradesh’s policy of taking strict measures against illegal encroachments. Similar drives have been conducted in different parts of the state in recent years, with authorities asserting that all actions are carried out under existing legal provisions.
Further verification of land records and other suspected encroachments in the area is expected to continue in the coming weeks.
